I went through the steps outlined in the README, then went to http://localhost/kontrollbase/index.php and entered all the various PWs. When it finished its processing it tried to send me to http://localhost/kontrollbase/……php/login which my browser (linux FF 3.6.7) didn't like “The URI you submitted has disallowed characters.”


Where did I go astray?

open your config file “system/application/config/config.php” and comment out the line that says:

$config['permitted_uri_chars'] = 'a-z 0-9~%.:_\-';

So that it looks like this:

#$config['permitted_uri_chars'] = 'a-z 0-9~%.:_\-';
