Hi there,

I run kontrollbase within the management lan, that lan has no direct access towards the internet.

Could you maybe include a config flag in new releases that will allow a user to turn off news & announcements? otherwise the login will take ages.

run “svn update” in your working directory to get the latest. Otherwise you'll have to wait for the next official release which is tentatively going to be around the revision-250 mark. Alternaltely I suppose you could just include the changes to the config.php file and news_helper.php – config.php changes are below, the helper changes you can find on the google code source diff page for the 231 revision.

works good now.


just for cosmetics it would be helpful if the news section would appear minimized instead of full blown and crying that it is disabled but thats just my point of view :)


overall very nice project.
